In My Beauty Bag

First of all, let me start with a little disclaimer that I am by no means a beauty expert. I have struggled with my skin for several years. It's dry, sensitive and seems to react to a gazillion products. Once I've found a product that works I try to stick with that product. I always like seeing what is in other people's beauty bags, I guess I'm nosy in that regard. I like to see what works for them. My skincare routine at the moment consists of the following:

Beauty Bag - skin care

Oskia Perfect Cleanser - My cleanser is one of my favourite products. I struggled for years to find a cleanser that suited my skin and have probably wasted several hundred pounds in the process. I use it twice daily and I love it.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads - My current toner. The pads already have the product applied so there's less faffing with cotton wool. I love how quick and easy they are to use.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - I have recently tested three moisturisers, trying to find the best for my skin and I think for the first time ever my skin favoured the cheapest of the three. It suits my skin type, it moisturises but doesn't feel greasy or heavy on my skin.

For my body lotion, I use Aveeno Daily Moisturising lotion. I mainly use this after I've shaved.

My most used products in my Make up bag are the following:

beauty bag - make up

Laura Mercier Silk Créme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation - this is a recent purchase and I really like it. In the spring/summer months I like to switch to a medium coverage foundation and this one from Laura Mercier gives a lovely finish.

Clarins Instant Concealer - I use this for the black bags that constantly shadow my eyes.

Bobbi Brown Blusher in nude peach - I've used this for ages, it's a natural colour for me.

By Terry Ombré Blackstar Eyeshadow - when I'm in a rush or can't be bothered with my makeup I use this on my eyes.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - If I want to spend a bit more time on my make up or do something different with my eye shadow then this palette is my go to.

Anastasia Brow Wiz - being a redhead, finding a good eyebrow stick that suits my colouring was a challenge, until I found the brow wiz. It gives my brows definition without being in your face.

Maybelline Mascara - If I'm honest, I grabbed the first mascara that was waterproof. Some mascaras I find I have to stop using because they don't stay on my lashes (I end up looking like a panda), I'm still using this one.

Elf Lip exfoliator - makes lips kissably smooth and at a steal of a price.

Well that's what is in my Beauty Bag, both skincare and Makeup. I know most of the products are high end/expensive. As I mentioned before, my skin is incredibly sensitive and the reality is a lot of the cheaper brands I have tried have left me breaking out. It's hard to spend so much on make up but as a result I don't have a huge selection of make up.
