A Life Update - The Graduate

It still feels a bit surreal.

Nights where I breastfed by the glow of a laptop screen, participating as much as I could with a baby blocking my access to the keyboard.

Nights spent studying or essay writing until the early hours of the morning with a baby sleeping next to me or, more challengingly, trying to press the keys on my laptop.

Nights, or rather weeks, where I let the spinning plates of housework crash to the floor, and my loving husband took sole responsibility when assignment deadlines were looming.

I didn’t know when I decided to go back to university alongside my job that we’d move house, I’d spend nearly a year of my studies with hyperemesis gravidarum, and a year with a newborn. However, it’s done.

BA (Hons) English Literature First Class.

Still trying to process it all, I somehow managed to get a First.
